What is an espresso? Espresso also known as caffe espresso is a very concentrated coffee that is brewed by forcing hot water under pressure through a pack of coffee ground. What do you get when you order in a cafe? If your espresso is well done, you would get a coffee that is rich in flavor, dark colored and on the surface of the coffee, you would get a hazelnut-colored foam (crema). How do you make it at home? You would need finely ground coffee, hot water and a good espresso machine. Some of the popular brands include Delonghi , Saeco , capresso . Most machines only require you to pour in the coffee grounds and press a button. If you are using an espresso machine, you should be able to extract a perfect shot between 19-23 seconds. Note: One shot is about 45ml.

What is a Caffe Latte? Also known as latte, it is an Italian word with the meaning coffee and milk. 1/3 of it is espresso and the rest of the 2/3 is steamed milk. What do you get when you order in a cafe? This is a coffee drink that is make with espresso and steamed milk. How do you make it at home? To make a latte, you would need espresso and steamed milk. For a portion of espresso, you would need approximately 2 portion of steamed milk. Step 1: Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso about 1 quarter of a cup Step 2: Fill the cup with three quarter of steamed milk. Step 3: Add some patterns (also known as latte art) if you like

What is Espresso Machiatto? (Italian pronunciation: [ma'kkja(?)to]) is a coffee beverage, which literally means stained milk.

What do you get when order in a cafe? You would get an espresso that is "stained" with some steamed milk. Usually, the baristas would topped it with some froth to differentiate it from a normal espresso.

How do you make it at home? To make an espresso machiatto, you would need espresso, steamed milk and froth. Step 1: Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso about 1 quarter of a cup Step 2: Simply add in some steamed milk and scoop in some froth

What is Espresso Lungo? Lungo which means long in Italian simply means that the coffee that is made using an espresso machine with much more water, thus giving a "stretched espresso -Lungo. For example, a normal espresso takes about 18-30 seconds to extract, a Lungo on the other hand may take up to 60 seconds .

What do you get when you order in a cafe? You would see an espresso that is watery in appearance and looks more like a normal coffee.

How do you make it at home? To make an espresso Lungo, you would need ground espresso and water. Step 1. Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso, but with an extraction time about 60 seconds. Step 2. Because more water is passed through the ground coffee, you would get a bigger cup of about 60 ml espresso Lungo

What is Espresso Ristretto? Populary called Ristretto (also known as "Corto"), this is a very short shot of espresso coffee. The water contact with the coffee grounds is for a very short period of time and coffee beverage is less bitter, more body, fuller and bolder.

What do you get when you order in a cafe? You would get a beverage that is fuller in body but with lesser bitterness. This is the preferred choice of coffee by espresso coffee lovers.

How do you make it at home? To make an espresso Ristretto, you would need coffee grounds and water. Step 1. Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso, but with a shorter extraction time. Step 2. With a shorter extraction time, very little water is passed through the ground coffee, giving you a fuller and lesser coffee beverage.

What is Espresso Romano? Simple -this is an espresso that is served with a lemon rind on the side

What is Caffe Americano? Caffe Americano or more commonly called Americano simply means a diluted coffee. This is prepared by adding hot water to a regular espresso. The result is an espresso with similar strength but different flavor from a regular drip coffee.

What do you get when you order in a cafe? An espresso that is diluted with hot water

How do you make it at home? You would need coffee grounds and hot water Step 1. Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso about 1 quarter of a cup Step 2. Add hot water to fill the cup to three quarter

What is cafe au lait? This is a (French pronunciation: [kafe.o'l?] "coffee with milk"). It is either made with strong drip coffee or caffee Americano added with steamed milk.

What do you get when order in a cafe? You would a coffee with hot milk added to it.

How do make it at home? You would need to know how to make Caffee Americano (see page 16), you need about 1/2 cup of that and also 1/2 cup of steamed milk. Step 1. Fill the Americano into a cup up to 50% Step 2. Add the same amount of steamed Milk. Step 3. Serve it.

What is Caffe Mocha? Caffe Mocha is actually a variant of Caffe Latte. Similar to a latte, it is 1/3 espresso and 2/3 steamed milk, but for Mocha, a portion of Chocolate is added.

What do you get when you order in a cafe? You would get an espresso that is filled with milk, chocolate and served with frothed milk and whipped cream.

How do make it at home? You would need chocolate syrup, steamed milk, froth and espresso (See 03). Step 1. Scoop 2 table spoon of chocolate syrup into a cup Step 2. Add the steamed milk, give some allowances for the froth. Step 3. Add in the Froth Step 4. Add in the espresso slowly Step 5. Add in some latte art with the chocolate syrup.

What is a cappuccino? A cappuccino is a coffee beverage that is prepared with 1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed milk and 1/3 froth. What do you get when you order in a cafe? You would get a frothy espresso drink that is fused with steamed milk.

How do you make it at home? Step 1. Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso about 1/3 of a cup Step 2. Add in the steamed milk Step 3. Scoop the froth onto the coffee beverage

What is Espresso Con Panna? Espresso con panna in Italian simply mean "espresso with cream". This is a shot of espresso that is topped with whipped cream. Note: Also known as Cafe Vienne or Cafe Viennois.

What do you get when you order in a cafe? It is usually served in a demitasse, a shot of espresso that is topped with a dollop of cream.

How do you make it at home? Step 1. Use an espresso machine to make a shot of espresso about 1/4 of a cup Step 2. Topped it with a dollop of cream.
