n Korea, the idea of last call is practically non-existent. But even with the soundtrack of clinking glasses and delusional promises about “just one more drink,” there is a noticeable void of good beer. Now to those with more of a take-it-or-leave-it attitude when it comes to beer, a 2-litre bottle of faintly yellow Cass may do the trick. But to those who appreciate the flavor and lasting impression of a particularly good brew, Korean beers leave a lot to be desired. Enter Craftworks Taphouse & Bistro. Co-owner Dan explains, “A lot of people say that they just can’t go back to another beer after drinking one of our signature brews. You never get tired of hearing that.” While the Bukhansan Pale Ale and the other original 8 brews found at Craftwork may leave you a bit weak in the knees, there’s more to enjoy than that. With co-partner Alicia’s background in food consulting, there’s also the hand-selected wine list, a brunch bound to treat any incurable hangover, and, oh yes, a plate of nachos featuring actual cheese.
