Peppino brings a taste of Italy into the Itaewon neighborhood with their authentic ingredients and firsthand experience from Messina, one of the islands of Sicily. Their delicious thin-crust pizzas are homemade with fresh ingredients and aromatic herbs that pair excellently with beer. Those looking for a full course meal can also order from their diverse salad, pasta, and contorni menus along with classic Italian desserts like Tiramisu. After partnering with Chef Santino Sorento in Vancouver 1995, Charles Yu opened Peppino in Korea. The Italian bistro presents authentic Roman-style pizza, pasta inspired by a blend of influences from Southern Italy, and craft beer - all at a reasonable price. The restaurant includes a stocked bar with beers on tap, hip interiors, and an outdoor patio. The front wall of the restaurant even opens out to the streets, allowing patrons to have a similar Italian-style outdoor dining experience. Business hours are from 6 pm to 1 am from Tuesday to Friday, and from 1 pm on the weekends. Happy hours are from 6 pm to 8 pm, with W2,000 off all beer and wine. Closed Mondays. To celebrate their opening, Peppino is offering a 50% discount off their pizzas all day every Wednesday of this month. The Jirison “Moon Bear” IPA is infused with a blend of spices to give it a familiar pumpkin pie taste and aroma. Although it’s great on its own, it ties together a delicious Thanksgiving meal perfectly (like the one served at Craftworks for example). 카발리아 CAVALIA: A Magical Encounter Between Human and Horse This equestrian ballet is not your conventional circus or rodeo. It is “a show about horses, not a horse show,” says Latourelle. With virtual environments that take the audience on an exploration around the world across landscapes and seas, Cavalia is an inspiring performance that celebrates the ongoing relationship between humans and horses through art. It illustrates the story about a relationship that not only formed beautiful bonds between humans and horses over centuries, but also enabled humans to build bridges between cultures and expand civilization. What sets Cavalia apart is the special treatment of the horses as members of the team, and not mere accessories of the show. The production depends on the mood of the horses, so it’s the team’s job to keep them healthy, well-fed, and happy. With 2,440-square-meter of stage space, the horses have plenty of room to gallop at full speed, at times roaming completely free during the show. Normand Latourelle seizes every opportunity to enhance the beauty, peace, and balance of the horse in its natural state. In turn, the training of the horses is dictated by these three principles. Cavalia is also a spectacular reinvention of the equestrian arts that balances tradition and innovation. The story of the development of equestrian arts unfolds while the most cuttingedge technology and state-of-the-art multimedia enhances the visual and emotional effects. Fifty horses, forty riders, acrobats, and dancers from all over the world all move in sync with live music and a constantly changing digital background that is projected onto a 60-meter wide screen. Each image projected is adapted from first-hand paintings, which are then finalized by graphic designers and translated onto the screen. Meet Chef Park Youngbin, the artisan of Suji’s famous eggs benedict. Suji’s menu is made entirely of homemade ingredients, which rightfully earned them a spot on CNN’s “Seoul’s 6 Best Brunch Restaurants”. Chef Park started his culinary career in high school, and his keen interest in the culinary arts led him to after-school academies, where he received his license at age 20. Throughout training, he gained experience in buffet kitchens, and immediately started cooking at an Italian restaurant after completing his degree in Hotel Culinary Arts. To further hone his skills, Chef Park travelled to Australia to study more Western cuisines, and landed a spot at Suji’s after returning to Korea. With 5 years of experience at one of Korea’s first restaurants to adopt the brunch concept, Chef Park has perfected his craft with signature brunch menus and has created new dishes, such as their new Ricotta Roast Beef Sandwich. The soft bun, creamy ricotta cheese, and pesto sauce are homemade and perfectly meld together to create rich flavors and textures that will leave your taste buds satisfied. Starting with a debut in San Francisco in 2006, Kite Flying Robot has made the rounds to Oklahoma City and finally Seoul since 2012. CHURRASCO COURSE DINNER FROM CARNE DO BRASIL
Available at dinner or on weekends, Carne Do Brasil offers 7 different styles of Brazilian barbeque starting from the tender “contrafile” sirloin steak to the “alcatra steak” grilled with a special garlic sauce in their Churrasco course. After the 7 courses, any of the dishes can be ordered until satisfied. Finally, the course closes out with a plate of grilled pineapple with cinnamon known as “abacaxi” and a brew of Iguacu Cafe to round out, what promises to be, a filling and satisfying course in Brazilian cuisine.
