I have always enjoyed looking up homes and touring model homes but now I have the opportunity to tour these homes and assist in making it someone’s next adventure in life! I also have opened a preschool in Northern California with my sisters. This was something we talked about and quietly planned and one of our biggest accomplishments. To build something from the ground up and get to see it grow is the most liberating feeling for anyone!

I first met Gwenivere at a baby shower she was hosting for a close friend of both of ours. I was meet-

ing everyone there for the first time since I was new to the area but G was so sweet and welcoming. She helped my husband and I find our first home in Denver and also helped with our first purchase. She has encouraged and mentored me each step of the way in becoming a Broker and I will be forever grateful to her. I am so proud of who she is professionally and as a mother, wife, and woman!

Q G

Tell us how you both met and what sparked a working relationship.

Q G Z

What is your philosophy about women empowering each other professionally?

My core belief is to empower and build up women. It’s a privilege to be a part of a person’s life.

If you have one piece of advice for women, what would it be?

When your friends are soaring in success, be happy and let it be a reminder that your turn is coming!

My one piece of advice I have for women whether you are single, married, or a mother is to always focus on

the things that speak to your soul, that speak to the core of who you are. Be convicted to make time for the things that make you feel most productive, that brings you the most inner peace and that makes you feel the most fulfilled. not sure; I do believe it’s both. You heard me, the reproductive organs of both genders are there. Don’t be alarmed, my parents are hermaphrodites. Does that surprise you? It certainly shouldn’t, because for my kind, it is the norm. Let me introduce myself, I come from the species of vitis vinifera, known in your world as a grape. Oh, and not just any grape, a grape used to make the finest of wines. Our family name is Viognier, ancestral of the Rhone Valley in France. I’m proud of my heritage for, if handled properly, with great knowledge and passion, I can be made into an elegant, floral wine, worthy of kings, or Kingman’s as this story will tell. Me and my relatives are a picky bunch. Of course, being able to pollinate ourselves is pretty cool, but we have a sensitivity to earth’s elements and only do it if the moment is right. Just last week, it was windy, and I totally lost the mood. Then it turned cold and, well, SHRINKAGE! Even when there’s just a little chill in the air, it simply caused me to lock up my chastity belt! And if it rains? Well, might as well pull up the covers and call it a day! You see, we are fair weather fornicators. Only when it’s calm, peaceful and perfectly warm, will we put out. This epicene process is called “flowering”. Doesn’t seem too romantic, but, if all goes as planned, tiny white bunches of flowers will grow into, you guessed it, me. If something goes wrong, and the stars don’t align, the flowers don’t appear, and my siblings will never be. Maybe that is why vitis vinifera makes such great wine! We are delicate creatures, unlike our extended cousins, vitis labrusca, (not to be confused

with that purply Italian wine, Lambrusco), they only work as male and female pollinators, kind of like you humans. Somehow, though, the magic happens and by the beginning of summer, we have become small bulbs with lots of room to move. Through the next months,

we just hang out, my siblings and I, clinging

5 Reasons You’re Still Broke and Arguing A P.S. It’s Not What You Think By Chris and Marlow Felton Maybe you’re not where you want to be financially. The bills are piling up. The debt collectors are calling. You simply don’t have enough to get by. Financial troubles are some of the worst problems a couple can have because they take a toll on everything. will be able to overcome the fear of success. Not wanting to be seen as a salesperson – while sales are critical to any business most people do not want to be perceived as a pushy, “all I care about is the sale”. I have also had to overcome this negative perception of sales. The belief that I created and embrace is “I do not have a mandate to sell, but an obligation to share”. You are truly denying the benefit of your product or service to your perfect client by not making them aware that it exists. So, what are some ways to be seen effectively? Determine what your perfect client looks like. Write out a description of your perfect client like age, gender, industry and needs and preferences. Be as specific as possible. Embrace your celebrity. We all have a special story – sharing, not how you are better than your competition, but rather different from your competition. This uniqueness will allow you to be seen and your perfect client will be drawn to you. Get the word out! Public access television, Speaking, Networking events, Magazines, Newspapers, Social Media, Videos, Writing articles, Blogging, Newsletters, Posting in groups. Actively engaging in activities that allow your perfect client to experience you will drive them to you at an accelerated rate. While this is not an exhaustive all-inclusive article on how to be seen, it will give you a good start. Take the risk to step into your spotlight.

Dior Exhibit Denver Art Museum Debuts First Major U.S. Retrospective of the House of Dior DENVER – The Denver Art Museum (DAM) is currently the home to the U.S. presentation of Dior: From Paris to the World, an exhibition surveying more than 70 years of the House of Dior’s enduring legacy and its global influence. A selection of more than 200 haute couture dresses, as well as accessories, photographs, original sketches, runway videos and other archival material, will trace the history of the iconic haute couture fashion house. Dior: From Paris to the World also will profile its founder, Christian Dior, and subsequent artistic directors, including Yves Saint Laurent (1958–1960), Marc Bohan (1961–1989), Gianfranco Ferré (1989–1996), John Galliano (1997–2011), Raf Simons (2012–2015) and Maria Grazia Chiuri (2016–present), who have carried Dior’s vision into the 21st century.

Dior: From Paris to the World also will highlight North and South American patrons’ vital role in helping establish the House of Dior’s global presence. Organized by the DAM and curated by Florence Müller, the DAM’s Avenir Foundation Curator of Textile Art and Fashion, the exhibition will be on view from Nov. 19, 2018 to March 3, 2019, and designed by Shohei Shigematsu, OMA Partner and Director of the global firm’s New York office. The more than 70-year Dior retrospective will offer a new vision on the fashion house’s legacy following the 2017 to 2018 Paris exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs. The exhibition will travel to the Dallas Museum of Art after its debut at the DAM.

United States of America Miss Colorado United States of America Miss Colorado is about celebrating influential women that are making an impact. These are strong, bright, intelligent women that are about service and community. A recent pageant, “Sparkles n Ice” was more than just a “show”; it’s about celebrating and recognizing these women for their personal growth, what they’ve done in the community and their ability to inspire others. We’re excited to have our newest title holders, our new “Queens”, to represent the state of Colorado at Nationals. We feel they are perfect to represent the state as they will be the best spokespersons for all the things that we have occurring in Colorado. Our pageant is a community event - this year we raised funds to benefit “Best Buddies”. Jennifer Costello, the pageant Producer, Coach and Stylist is an Internationally published Model/Brand Designer, Fashion Stylist, Producer, Coach and model mentor. She has been involved in the fashion industry for over four years and has her own brand, Jeneration Apparel. Additionally, Jennifer runs a production company, Jeneration Network, which works with clients like Amber Turner, the Executive Director of the United States of America Miss Colorado. They provide everything from Pageant Production, Styling and most importantly coaching the delegates with getting started, sponsorship management and media. This production team makes the difference with their #1 Assistant/brand ambassador/Model, Jenny Kovach & Tennisia Littleton-Broberg, #1 Choreographer for the pageant. Tennisia Broberg is the founder of Colorado-based TL Professional Services llc, a national and internationally published boutique brand consultancy company that provides event coordinating services for local fashion and beauty productions, brand conservation services, print/runway model and lifestyle etiquette development, fashion styling, professional certified makeup artistry,

professional runway choreography, and creative direction. Of course there’s a great staff, like Su Hoffmann of “Dream Seekers” and photographers, that handled the media for “Sparkles n Ice” pageant, Frank LeBeau with “Models of Colorado”, Larry Mark of “Fieros Photography” and Frank Weitz of “Elegance Imaging”.

Ice Castles Ice Castles is an award-winning frozen attraction located in six cities across North America. Currently Dillon, Colorado is open to explore hundreds of thousands of icicles hand-placed by professional ice artists. The castles include breathtaking LED-lit sculptures, frozen thrones, ice-carved tunnels, slides, fountains and much more. Each year, Ice Castles brings fairy tales to life for hundreds of thousands of families across North America. Their primary goal at Ice Castles is to make people smile. Since 2011, Ice Castles has been dedicated to creating an experience that will live on long after the ice melts. For all who enter through our icicle-adorned archways, we hope the time spent at Ice Castles is a source of joy and inspiration. Bringing joy to others has been our mission since the company’s inception. Founder, Brent Christensen, crafted his first icy creation in the front yard of his home to bring happiness and joy to his children. After moving from sunny California to snowy Utah, Christensen did what any father of six stir-crazy kids with cabin fever

photographer JAY KNAPP @jayknapp_rise_up model MARY @@alice_forgotton

would do. He built an ice cave in his yard to get his kids out of the house. His stroke of genius worked! His icy invention wasn’t just a hit with his own children. Kids from all over the neighborhood – and eventually from all across town -- got wind of his creation, bundled up, and headed outside to play at Christensen’s wintry wonderland. The kids affectionately called this winter playground an “ice castle”. And that is exactly what it is today. Although Ice Castles has grown significantly since then, thei mission remains the same – to create happiness, laughter, and unforgettable winter memories. https://icecastles.com/dillon/
