Success for me is enjoying my job every day, even on the challenging days. My goal is to continue working as long as it is still fun and I continue to have financial success.

ROBIN

BLASS Robin Blass has established a career in real estate that many only aspire to have. She has realized tremendous financial success, career accolades, and longevity. But what has truly made her feel successful has been building a life doing what she loves. Robin moved to Atlanta at 18 years old to begin her career as an X-ray technician at Emory University Hospital, where she launched into a two-year allied health program. She hoped the experience would have been the beginning of a meaningful and fulfilling career, but Robin was frustrated and wanting for more. She was unhappy and

disappointed with her career choice, and she wanted to generate more income. She had explored many options and was optimistic that the right career would be manifested in time. Her competitiveness, resiliency, and enthusiasm gave her the confidence to step out and pursue a career in sales. At once, her passion for real estate was ignited.

She began selling real estate near the end of 1979. Sales of existing homes were dropping to their lowest point, and the decline in sales was largely driven by sky-high mortgage rates of 17%-18% around that time. Her initiation into real estate was not easy, but Robin was nothing if not hard-working. For two years she hustled between three jobs; she served tables as a waitress, continued at Emory as an X-ray technician, and worked tirelessly to build a client base for her real estate business. One of the greatest challenges she faced in her career was proving to clients that although she was young, she could and would get the job done. Mo Thrash, a successful and longtime broker, was one of Robin’s toughest critics and biggest cheerleaders. Eventually, her determination and unyielding perseverance earned Robin an office at Mo’s brokerage, which was an opportunity that became pivotal in her career. Robin was launched into what would become an extremely rewarding, productive, and influential career.

Across four decades, thousands of homes, and many industry cycles, Robin has held a career volume of over $675,000,000. In 2020, The Robin Blass Group sold just shy of $60,000,000 in sales volume. She has earned the Million Dollar Club acknowledgment for 40 years and the sheer magnitude of volume and work that Robin has accomplished within the industry has merited the recognition as the youngest member to get the 10-Year Phoenix Award from the Atlanta Board of REALTORS®. Robin is married to Dave, her husband of 36 years. They raised three kids, Lauren, Jennifer, and Matthew, and have welcomed in-laws and grandkids over the years. Her family owns a condo in Beaver Creek, Colorado where they love to visit for a week of snow skiing and togetherness, usually paired with a glass of their favorite wine. Although her life is busy and work is demanding, Robin always makes time

to be with her kids and grandkids. They visit with each other weekly and share as much time together as possible. Recently, Robin went out on her own to start the Robin Blass Group, where she continues to produce enormous volume. Together with her daughter Lauren, Robin typically sells around 100 houses annually. “Success for me is enjoying my job every day, even on the challenging days. agents is what Robin loves most about her career as a REALTOR®. “I love the success of having happy clients. Whether they are the buyer or seller, I want a great transaction in every way.” Robin loves working with other agents and she is always flattered when agents ask her for input and expertise. She gets excited because to Robin, investing time and energy into helping other agents grow is always worthwhile. “When you face disappointment, and you will, do not dwell on it.
