Every Mother founder Leah Keller had her own personal experience with diastasis recti before going on to start her innovative workout program. “Years before I had my children, I actually self-induced diastasis recti, or abdominal separation, from the vigorous classes I taught as a young fitness professional,” Keller tells Mini. “It was a mild case of exercise-induced DR, and I fully resolved it by radically changing how I approached core training, long before my first pregnancy. Through following my own program, I entirely avoided diastasis recti during both of my pregnancies.”

HOW IS EVERY MOTHER THE ONLY SCIENTIFICALLY PROVEN WORKOUT FOR WOMEN?

Every Mother is the only exercise program with published medical research that proves it works to resolve diastasis recti postnatally. In 2013, researchers at Weill Cornell conducted a study of 63 women following my exercise program. 100% of those subjects fully resolved diastasis recti. Those subjects also reported dramatically lower rates of back pain and urinary stress incontinence than the general population, suggesting additional health benefits.
