Tell us about yourself
My name is Sylvia Castillo, the wife of Evangelist Jorge Castillo. I am a mother of five beautiful children. I am the CEO and founder of Sylvia Early Learning Program which has been running for 19 years. I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ 29 years ago. In my life, I have experienced many hardships, but God has always seen me through. The Love of God began cultivating in my life through a heart for prayer. He called me into ministry, and I began as a youth minister. The Spirit of the Lord elevated me to a prophetess to cultivate his people into intercession.
How did you identify your purpose?
I identified my purpose with the help of the Holy Spirit. He revealed it to me through dreams and visions. As I heard his voice, I began following His leadership.
What challenges have you experienced throughout the pursuit of your purpose?
The challenges I’ve faced have been to follow God’s instructions completely, focus on what He says and not worry or get distracted by what others think of my assignment.
What motivates you to become the person you are today? One word for Gifted Magazine readers?
What motivates me to become the person I am today is that I have seen the results of persistently and fervently praying. I have seen lives transformed, hearts and bodies healed, and people restored to the Lord Jesus Christ. This motivates me daily. It is never too late to pursue your purpose. Follow after what you’re passionate about in life. Never give up on following after your purpose.

What advice would you give to your younger self?
The advice I would give to my younger self is to remain focused on who you are and were created to be. Do not be anxious in life but embrace the journey that life brings.
