ALL THE POOR AND THE POWERLESS

Our lives are full of “things - big things, small things, expensive things, bright things, sentimental things. We place emphasis on, bring passion to and put time and money into these things to bring more meaning to our lives. But rarely do we stop to consider the things that could bring more meaning to the lives of others. Like our thoughts. Our prayers. Our attention. Our time. That should be our challenge: to give more of ourselves to those people that go unnoticed; to embrace a lifestyle of compassion and encouragement for others; and to dedicate our lives to the social and spiritual nurturing of all nations, cultures and people. Our goal in life should embrace love through selflessness. Because the true value of life lies not in things, but what we give of ourselves.

...to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. -Isaiah 61 v. 3
